Darlings, you have to make this. It’s a gift to die for. Make it for your hubby, lover, girfriends – and what about Mum or Auntie Pat? These sugar scrub cubes are easy to make, wonderfully beneficial to the skin and look impressive when given to that special someone. Brown sugar is packed with antioxidants and AHA (alpha hydroxyl acid) to regenerate and rejuvenate skin.  Sweet almond oil is a brilliant source of Vit A and E and restores natural moisture. Coconut oil is naturally antibacterial, antifungal and penetrates skin well.

We could play with sugar scrub recipes all day since I can think of at least fifty. For now we’ll stick to two so you can learn the ropes. After that you can add your own touches according to what intuition tells you.

The first sugar cube recipe is one I favour for my skin – and all older women. It has the added ingredient of Rose Clay Powder. Rose clay is used in expensive spa treatments. Incredible stuff that absorbs skin impurities, ekes out dirt, make up and excess oil, thereby unblocking clogged pores and tightening them.

1 cup melt and pour glycerin shea butter soap base.  (You can buy on Amazon)

Half cup sweet almond oil or coconut oil.

1 teaspoon rose clay powder

1 cup brown sugar

4 drops essential Frankincense oil, 4 drops essential Rose, 4 drops essential Geranium, 4 drops Light Neroli.

HOW TO:  Place dish over saucepan with boiling water.  Chop shea butter soap base and place in dish until it melts. Add almond or coconut oil and blend in.  Remove from heat, add rose clay powder, essential oils then beat brown sugar into mix.  Smooth portions into ice cube tray, (what about heart shaped?) leave to freeze, remove from ice cube tray and pack in airtight jar. To use, wet face then massage sugar cube into face, throat and neck. Rinse off with warm water.  A gift fit for a Princess.

Men love this sugar cube scrub. Charcoal powder is super for getting clogged dirt out of the skin, easing out blackheads and tightening pores and is of a colour they won’t having on their bathroom shelf lol.

1 cup melt and pour glycerin shea butter soap base.

Half cup coconut oil.

1 teaspoon Charcoal powder.

1 cup brown sugar.

6 drops essential Lemon oil, 6 drops Lavender, teaspoon lemon zest.

HOW TO:  Same as Recipe 1.       A gift for a Prince.
