BANANA FAST – this adjusts the iron, sodium and potassium factors in body. When these are balanced, the struggle is taken out of losing those extra pounds. I recommend you do this banana fast twice every week for one month. Days can be staggered to suit your mood and schedule.
Breakfast: 1 cup freshly squeezed orange juice with pulp left in, sweetened with honey.
After one hour eat two bananas. Chew thoroughly. This is important and eat the strings of white that stick to banana. Immediately after banana eat contents of one whole cardamom, pod. The cardamom turns the banana into liquid and positively changes effect of bananas on digestive system.
Lunch: 2 bananas followed by one whole cardamom pod.
Dinner: 2 bananas followed by one whole cardamom pod.
When thirsty during the day, drink lots of hot water and 2 more glasses orange/honey juice.
If you find detox makes you feel constipated, increase cardamom pods to 3 at a time to remedy that.
At the end of the night, have a big glass of warm water with lemon and honey.
To carry on body organ cleansing process, the banana fast is ideally followed by one day where you have any fruits of choice for breakfast, lunch of cooked brown rice with all/any green vegetables (green beans, courgettes, green pepper, broccoli, spinach etc). Use turmeric and fresh mint with any other herbs you enjoy for added positive results. Evening snack is a pot of plain yoghurt. (and yes, you can have a cup of coffee during the day).
To go through above in a few words, ideally each week should contain 2 banana fast days and two brown rice days. The other three days you get to choose what to eat but naturally you won’t choose fried foods, bread, cakes, pastries and will halve your usual food portions.
Whenever my belly/waist starts to spread I do the above for a month and bingo I’m back in shape.
